Michele Barbato is assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Université Paris 13–Sorbonne Paris Cité (Villetaneuse, France), and he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and University of Milan (Italy). His research interests cover polyhedral combinatorics and the design and analysis of algorithms for combinatorial optimization problems with real-world applications. He is a reviewer for international scientific journals and conferences and was part of the organizing committee for the 7th AIROYoung Workshop. Annarita De Maio is an Assistant Professor at the University of Calabria specializing in Operations Research. She earned her PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2018, with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, and optimization for the green economy. In 2020, she received the YoungWomen4OR recognition from the Association of European Operational Research Societies. She has published her work in renowned academic journals and has been both speaker and organizer at international conferences. She actively contributes to national and international research projects, collaborating with prominent institutions such as CIRRELT, as well as with various companies to address real-world logistics challenges and applications. She is also an experienced university lecturer, teaching at both master's and doctoral levels. Giusy Macrina graduated cum laude in Management Engineering at the University of Calabria (UNICAL) in 2013. She obtained her PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science at the same university in 2018. She has several national and international collaborations; she was a visiting PhD student at the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur les reseaux d'entreprise (CIRRELT) Montréal in 2015, 2016 and 2017, and a visiting researcher at the ESSEC business school of Paris in 2024. She is currently assistant professor at the Department of Mechanical Energy and Management Engineering (DIMEG) at UNICAL. She was member of the board of AIRO young, the young chapter of the Italian Operations Research Society (AIRO), and it is currently member of the board of AIRO. She has been involved in several national and international projects, and she is currently responsible of research unit and substitute PI of a PRIN project (Relevant Researches of National Interest) founded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). Her main area of scientific activity is Operations Research, focusing on combinatorial optimisation problems, mainly in the field of logistics and distribution. She is the author of more than 30 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. Lorenzo Peirano is assistant professor at the University of Brescia. He got his Ph.D. in Analytics for Economics and Business at the University of Bergamo in 2020, his research is focused on the optimization of logistics, maritime and air transportation, network and combinatorial problems and machine learning. Marco Premoli is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan, where he obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2018. His research focuses on optimization and simulation for telecommunication networks, manufacturing and healthcare. He is a reviewer for international scientific journals and conferences and was part of the organizing committee for the 7th AIROYoung Workshop.
